The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed about the substantial quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office focused on service the area on a regular basis. The company point produced for intervention encounters a large influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it tough for the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more means to help the servicing of all shoppers and raise use of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
